The project on this page was is a restoration of a very artful adobe house in Tres Piedras, NM. It is a collaboration of several artistans. Because this house was designed without an overhang, water had seeped between the layers of the walls over a period of years, causing them to peel and separate. Most of the crew pictured here was involved with the demolishing of deteriorating wall and re-plastering of the clay layers. My work involved the restoration of the sculptures specifically (though I also took part in some demolishing and general clay plastering). The site was managed by Carole Crews, an expert in clay finishes (who had originally created some of the sculptures 15 years prior).
